How it works
Preventive maintenance in PulsePlant is built around a simple idea: define the work once, and the system handles every recurrence. A PM template captures what needs to be done, how often, with what checklist, and what safety notes. Link the template to a piece of equipment, set a start date, and the schedule generates instances forever — until you suspend it.
Checklists live on the equipment, not the template. That means any pump in the fleet can inherit a generic 'Quarterly Pump Inspection' but each unit brings its own measurement steps, critical flags, and pass/fail checks. Change a checklist on one pump and every template referencing it updates automatically.
Work orders are generated ahead of the due date based on a configurable lead time — 7 days for routine, 30 days for contractor-dependent work. Frequency can be time-based (every 3 months), usage-based (every 500 hours), or both, whichever fires first. Compliance rates and overdue counts surface on every dashboard.
Calendar views show the whole plant's PM workload at a glance. Statistics pages break compliance down by equipment, template, and time period. Overdue PMs show up in red everywhere they appear so nothing stays invisible.
