How it works

Safety in PulsePlant isn't a bolt-on — it runs on the same platform as every other plant activity. Incidents link to equipment, hazards drive corrective work orders, inspections feed into audit reports, and training compliance shows up on every technician's profile.

Incidents move through Open → Under Investigation → Resolved → Closed with root cause, corrective actions, and preventive actions captured along the way. Critical and fatal incidents trigger immediate notifications to plant leadership. Witness statements, injured persons, and evidence photos all attach to the record.

Hazards use a 5x4 risk matrix combining likelihood and severity to compute a risk score. The Hierarchy of Controls guides mitigation — elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative, PPE. Automatic recommendations for each hazard category help less-experienced observers capture everything that matters.

Inspections run on scheduled and random bases with 0-100 scoring, categorized findings, and follow-up tracking. Training programs track types (orientation, refresher, specialized, certification), validity periods, and individual completions. When a certification is about to expire, the employee and their supervisor both get a renewal reminder automatically.

Behind all of it, Safety Analytics produces standard OSHA metrics — TRIR, DART, days without incident — with trend analysis, severity breakdowns, and cross-department comparisons. Regulatory reports export for OSHA logs, training compliance, and incident investigations.

Inside Safety & Compliance

Dedicated sub-modules that go deeper on specific workflows.

What you get

Structured incident investigation

Open through Closed with root cause, corrective actions, and preventive actions captured.

5x4 risk matrix

Likelihood × severity with automatic risk score and category-specific control recommendations.

Scored safety inspections

0-100 scoring, categorized findings, follow-up tracking, and recurring schedule support.

Training compliance tracking

Completions, validity periods, and automatic renewal reminders by employee and supervisor.

OSHA-standard metrics

TRIR, DART, days without incident — calculated automatically from hours-worked and incident data.

Hierarchy of Controls

Mitigation guidance baked into every hazard record — elimination first, PPE last.

Trend analysis

Increasing, decreasing, or stable rates by severity, type, and department over time.

Predictive insights

Statistical projections of future incident rates with confidence levels and recommendations.

Common ways it's used
