How it works
Shift handover is where operational continuity lives or dies. A technician who walks in at shift start without knowing what the previous crew saw, fixed, bypassed, or flagged is going to waste the first hour catching up. PulsePlant replaces the whiteboard and the paper log with a structured digital report that the next shift can read in minutes.
Every report captures the shift identity (date, day or night, senior technician), production estimates for five chemical streams with a computed total, and nine status sections covering gas prep and reformer, compression and synthesis loop, reaction and crystals, PT/NA/AN, notifications submitted, bypasses/trips/alarms, equipment out of service, HSE incidents, and upcoming maintenance.
Auto-save fires every two seconds — nothing is lost if the browser closes mid-shift. Carry-over pre-fills each section with the previous shift's content so the outgoing crew just updates what changed instead of starting from a blank page. Approval with email distribution sends the report to a managed recipient list at shift end. Re-send and single-send options handle follow-ups.
Analytics compare day shift vs. night shift across any date range. Production trends chart all five chemicals over time. Monthly summaries roll up totals and averages. Daily production breaks down day, night, and total by date. The landing page is smart — if you have an open draft, it opens automatically. If you have none, it prompts for day or night.
