Part of Scheduling & Resources

Resources

People, contractors, and equipment to get work done

Central management of every person and piece of equipment that shows up on a work order. Trades, skills, certifications, rates, and availability — tracked in one place.

How it works

Resources are the inputs to the schedule. Internal labor — technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders, instrumentation, operators — each with their own trade, skills, certifications, and cost rates. External labor for contractors linked to their supplier record. Equipment resources for specialized tools, vehicles, and diagnostic instruments that need to be scheduled like people.

Each resource has a standard working schedule, a blocked-time calendar for vacations and training, and an availability view that highlights gaps and conflicts. Cost rates track regular, overtime, and double-time with effective-date history so old work orders always reflect the correct rate that was in force. Certifications come with expiration dates that feed into the training compliance system.
