Notifications & Email

Reach the right people, the right way

Multi-channel notification platform — in-app, email, push, and SMS — with per-user preferences by category, quiet hours, over 40 managed email templates, and a delivery queue for admin monitoring.

How it works

Notifications are how PulsePlant keeps everyone aligned without anyone drowning. Each user controls their own preferences by channel and category — in-app, email, push, SMS — and sets quiet hours so routine notifications don't wake anyone up. Urgent categories bypass quiet hours by design.

Over 40 email templates cover every operational module. Admins can edit subject, body, and merge fields; preview templates with sample data; and test-send to themselves before publishing changes. A dedicated delivery queue and status dashboard let admins monitor sends, retries, and failures across every channel.

Plant Notifications is a shared inbox for issues flagged from work orders — a parallel surface alongside each user's personal inbox. Both run on the same engine, but Plant Notifications is plant-wide visibility for operations and supervision.

What you get

Four channels

In-app, email, push, and SMS with per-user opt-in and opt-out at the channel and category level.

Quiet hours

Suppress non-urgent notifications during off-hours; urgent categories bypass the block.

40+ email templates

Managed templates for every module with admin-editable subject, body, and merge fields.

Test-send preview

Preview with sample data and test-send to yourself before publishing template changes.

Delivery queue monitoring

Admin dashboard shows pending, sent, failed, and retried deliveries across every channel.

Personal vs. plant inbox

Personal notifications and plant-wide flagged issues on parallel surfaces, same engine.

Common ways it's used

Alerting supervisors immediately on critical incidents without spamming everyone
Letting users tune their own notification volume by category and channel
Monitoring email deliverability and retrying failed sends from the admin panel
Updating an email template without waiting for an IT release cycle
